BASIC CONSTRUCTION:
The PerMix PDI series high-speed mixer consists of two electric motors, one reduction gear, a clutch and shafts with two mixers. The shaft is sealed with a special seal, a venting system, so that the contact of the material with the seal is limited.
Materials are loaded from above and unloaded from below. Thanks to the consistent modular design, the system can be individually configured and easily adapted to structural conditions and specific requirements.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
In the PerMix PDI high shear mixer, powders disperse in a multidimensional shear state and only need a short mixing time to be thoroughly mixed.
In case granulation is required, the spray system sprays the binder solution into the chamber to agglomerate it with the materials and under the combined action of the impeller and chopper, uniform and porous granules are produced. After the mixing or granulation process is completed, the powders/granulates are discharged through the side discharge without any residue in the "dead zone".

Customers can choose from a variety of feeding and unloading methods.
- Spray nozzle
Liquid can be added to the powder using spray nozzles mounted on the mixer lid.
-Drive
Drive system by means of gear motor, cycloidal reducer, worm reducer, belt or chain transmission, etc.
– Mixer cover with counterweight or pneumatic cylinder
As standard, the PerMix PDI mixer is equipped with a manually operated counterweighted lid; however, a pneumatic opening is an option to facilitate opening and closing to save personnel work.
– Heating and cooling jacket

– Construction material and surface treatment
We are able to offer our PDI mixers with parts in contact with the product made of AISI 304, AISI 316/316L, titanium, Duplex stainless steel, Hastelloy etc. We can adjust the standard of internal and external finish to the customer's needs. For abrasive materials we offer hardened acid-resistant steel for parts in contact with the product.
– Vacuum drying and de-aeration
The PDI mixer can be designed for vacuum drying and deaeration or for internal pressure operation for special applications.
