What is FCPC?
Fast centrifugal partition chromatography (FCPC™) is a liquid/liquid purification technology to obtain high value-added compounds and molecules.
It is a preparative chromatography technique based on the principle that both the mobile and stationary phases are liquid. It uses a two-phase solvent system and the stationary phase is held in the column by centrifugal force while the mobile phase permeates through it, which has several advantages over conventional chromatography techniques:
• No solid packaging materials to throw away.
• High ratio of stationary phases in the column.
• No sample loss due to irreversible adsorption.
• No denaturation of sensitive compounds.
• High throughput.
• Moderate solvent consumption.
• Wide range of possible applications in terms of polarization.
• Easy and predictable scaling.
• Versatile operation (elution/extrusion, normal/reverse phase, pH zone refining, ion exchange, dual mode, gradient elution, etc.).
