PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
The PerMix PTP-D series vacuum dryer is used for drying operations and is usually operated at a speed higher than the critical speed, at any drying rate and for thorough drying after phase change. In combination with the action of the rotary mixer and the multi-chopper system in the machine, a high degree of fluidization of the dried material occurs. This promotes the evaporation of liquids. The enormous speed at which evaporation takes place practically eliminates the need for the usual auxiliary processes such as scrubbing and absorption with solvents.
For vacuum drying, the PerMix PTP-D series vacuum dryers/mixers can be filled from 50 to 75 percent. Thanks to the rapid change of material at the contact surface, the total heat exchange surface is optimally utilized. The integrated rotating cutting unit ensures that the product is free from agglomerates and the grain size is so fine that subsequent micronization is usually no longer necessary. The filter chamber connected to the vacuum dome has a mechanical or pneumatic control for filter cleaning. Additional devices for vapor removal or solvent recovery take into account the individual requirements of the user.
