BASIC CONSTRUCTION:
The PerMix PNA Series Conical Screw Mixer is a batch mixing machine widely used in mixing products that require gentle mixing with minimal product distortion, minimal heat generation and very thorough mixing uniformity. Since its development over 60 years ago, it has been recognized as a good solution for products that are delicate, heat sensitive or prone to segregation.
Because the PerMix Conical Mixer uses gravity to generate significant downward mass flow, it saves energy compared to a horizontal mixer.
These conical screw mixers are also characterized by the absence of product contamination during mixing, as the shaft seal and bearing are located above the working area and therefore do not come into contact with the product.

PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION:
Inside the PerMix conical screw mixer is a rotating screw (or two or three screws, depending on the application) rotating around its own axis, which is parallel to and close to the wall of the conical vessel. The mixing screw lifts the product around itself from the bottom to the top, and then the powder falls under the influence of gravity, causing convective mixing.
At the same time, the screw is supported by the orbital arm and rotates around the center of the cone like a planetary one, so that the powders at each corner of the cone can be mixed by the screw, and the three-dimensional mixing efficiency occurs within the entire cone.

Screw type
We offer single, double and triple screws to achieve different mixing intensities.
Drive system
Drive system by means of gear motor, cycloidal reducer, worm reducer, belt or chain transmission, etc.
Construction material and finish
We are able to offer our PVR mixers with parts in contact with the product made of carbon steel, stainless steel AISI304, AISI316/316L, titanium, stainless steel Duplex, Hastelloy etc. The finish of internal and external welds can be matt, polished to 180 grit (food grade) or polished to “mirror quality”. For abrasive materials we offer hardened steel as the material in contact with the product.
Liquid spray
Liquid can be added to the powder via spray nozzles mounted on the top of the mixer.
