When dealing with a low viscosity liquid, an emulsifying mixer/linear homogenizer can pump the liquid without an additional pump. Therefore, it is often also called a homogenizing pump (homogenizer).

The mixer can be used to handle the product with one circuit through it or with multiple circuits to get a better product.

Unlike a batch grinder mixer, mixing takes place in a mixing chamber so that energy is introduced into the materials in the most efficient manner. It also reduces process time by up to 90% compared to conventional mixing methods.
